Gatewave 

The Radio Reading Project Inc. will be operating a web-site for its
radio station Gatewave.

The site will perform a number of functions:

1)  Implement an internet radio station providing alternative
delivery of copyrighted Gatewave content to authorized recipients
using:
         a) live feed (streamed) 
         b) Podcast (archived shows)
         c) telephone dialup

    The radio station module will provide schedule information and
using this will automatically archive shows from the live feed.

    The site will also provide streaming distribution services to
affiliate stations and ftp facilities for remote content providers.

    The site will keep records of usage and be able to provide
recommendations to listeners.
 
2)  Allow visually impaired users to interact with providers allowing
feedback and discussions/blogs etc.  Authentication details for
registrants will be kept.

3)  Provide information to the public and potential donors about the
service including news items and related links.  

4)  Provide a facility for staff to communicate with users / donors /
affilliates via batch or individual e-mail.

5)  The site will be compliant with accessibility and privacy
standards and requirements.
