1 <!-- $Id: theme-formatters.html,v 1.1.2.4 2008/10/20 13:45:39 yched Exp $ --> 2 <p>Formatters are used to turn the raw data for a single field value into html. 3 The <strong>Display Fields</strong> tab lets you chose which formatter you want to use 4 for each of your fields.</p> 5 6 <p>In CCK 2.0 for Drupal 6, all formatters now go through the theme layer. 7 Therefore, overriding a formatter's theme is another way you can alter how your 8 values are displayed (whereas changing <span class="code">content-field.tpl.php</span> 9 lets you change the html that "wraps" the values).</p> 10 11 <p>Most formatters come as theme functions, but some might use templates instead. 12 Either way, you can override them using the usual Drupal 6 theme override 13 practices.
